Random Thoughts

My random thoughts throughout the day

Friday, friday, friday

Another week has come and gone and I’ve managed to write a new post for 3 days in a row.  Congrats to me.  And now for my Friday addition of random thoughts:

Congratulations goes out to Cassie and the Cleveland Clinic for raising over $2000 last night for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Indians finally managed get the bats working enough to get a 7-3 win over Boston.  They split the series and move on to the hot box that is Texas for a weekend series with the Rangers where Jimenez will make his Indians debut.

I finished watching The Adjustment Bureau.  Not a terrible movie but anyone have any idea who the Chairman was?

OSU is number 16 in the USA Today’s preseason poll.

One week and one day until the Cleveland Browns’ first preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.

And finally the Traffic Association decided that they should change their slogan from, “Over the limit, under arrest” to “Drive sober or get pulled over.”  Which is better?

About last night…

The Indians have done it again.  Two walk off losses in a row.  How does that even happen?  The only good thing about last night was the Tribe keeping Tim “Old Man” Wakefield from getting win number 200.  Jason Kipnis is becoming a bright spot in the Indians offense, which by the way really could have used another power hitter.  We are now 4 games back and it looks like just another year for Cleveland fans.  I really hope I am wrong and something miraculous happens and we end up winning the division, but I am also scared to do that because I can only expect dissapointment to follow.  Enough about the Indians and Cleveland heart break.

Random thoughts:

Watched the first have of The Adjustment Bureau last night.  Not bad so far, except for the fact that a phone gets dropped in a cup of coffee and 5 minutes latter it is dry and usable.  I dropped my phone in a bucket of water a few years ago and it was toast.  Maybe he went and bought a new phone and they just edited out that key peice of information.  Would have really helped out the plot of the movie.

Question:  What is Lebron’s stock in Tim Tebow?  Is he trying to make himself look better by defending someone that already has a good reputation?  Whatever the reason, I still hate you.

And finally, Cassie informed me that last night I woke her up and started petting my pillow like a dog and telling it “good girl, that’s a good girl.”  Wish I could have remembered that dream.

Countdown

Well, the countdown to a new phone begins.  I will end up spending the next month researching and comparing phones.  I will be looking at every tech website there is trying to decide if the rumors about the iPhone 5 are true or will a new android be better.  I know Cassie is holding out for the iPhone but I won’t be able to make up my mind until I step into the Verizon store to pick up my new phone.  The Droid Bionic looks inticing but the aspect of owning the latest and greatest iPhone sounds good too.  Who knows.

And so it begins…

I decided to start writing a blog on a whim.  I was bored at work, looking at other blogs and thought to myself, “I could probably write one of these.”  I am not sure of my current path but as time goes on I am sure that I will figure that out.  I have horrible grammar and will make mistakes in writing this, which I am sure my girlfriend will be quick to point out.  A majority of what is written here will be dedicated to the random thoughts that pop into my head during the day.  I may share some recipes, discuss Cleveland sports, or talk about the places I go.  Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
